?QUEENSBRIDGE SQUARE is at the heart of Southbank's entertainment hub.; where buskers and street performers entertain the crowds.

SOUTHBANK stretches along the Yarra River from Princes Bridge/St Kilda Rd to Queensbridge Square [our apartment location], continuing on passed the Crown Casino through to the Melbourne Exhibition Centre at the other end of the Crown Complex.  Southbank offers an extensive choice of dining and entertaining options for most peoples choices. The closeness of the CBD just across the footbridge on the opposite of the river bank, Southbank is well deserving of its reputation as Melbourne's premier entertainment district.

Melbourne's Exhibition & Convention Centre is just a 2 minute stroll along the Promenade & the City Centre [CBD] is just a walk across the foot bridge 

YOU WANT TO SHOP? 

Melbourne is brimming with a myriad of fantastic spots to shop! Take a deep breath and dive into the bustling hive of shops; like the Bourke Street MALL where you will find all the big name stores, like MYER and DAVID JONES, the MELBOURNE EMPORIUM - the largest collection of Australian designers all under one roof. If you are looking for up-market clothing and trinkets, then this is one of the spots you want to spend a day wandering through. Stroll along SWANSTON Street just north of the Flinders Street Station are bargains galore ready to jump into your shopping bag. Do go down into the basement shops. There are a few clothing spots down there with unbelievable deals. Swanston is also a great spot to grab souvenirs a bit cheaper than other spots in Melbourne and all within 10 min walk from our apartments.
 
COLLINS STREET is where you take your limitless American Express. Seriously. There are WONDERS GALORE in the uppity rich shops here, but they come at a hefty price. Even if your bank account isn't close to that of Bill Gates, you should at least go have a look. There are some very cool items here to drool over.The famous shopping strips of BRIDGE Rd, CHAPEL St are all easily accessed by the tram network just at the bottom of the building as are other famous Melbourne landmarks such as St Kilda Beach & The Queen Victoria or South Melbourne Markets. Also within a short walking distance are factory outlets (DFO's) at South Wharf & Southern Cross Station.

CROWN CASINO NEXT DOOR offers numerous restaurants, and offers 40 restaurants catering for every taste and budget, as well as high end shopping, gambling, movie theatre and ten pin bowling. Southgate just passed Freshwater Place is another focal point in Southbank and offers upmarket retail stores and dining, as well as a large food court. Markets are held on the Yarra River at this location each Sunday.

With a proliferation of WORLD CLASS SPORTING facilities such as the MCG, Etihad Stadium, Rod Laver, Hi Sense, and AAMI Park all on your doorstep, we can cater to any sport lover's needs, while for many punters, the race that stops the nation: 'MELBOURNE CUP' ends in Southbank. 

MUSIC LOVERS are also SPOILT for CHOICE with the Melbourne Recital Centre, The Arts Centre, encompassing the State Theatre, Playbox Theatre and George Fairfax Studio, as well as the Hamer Hall (formerly Melbourne Concert Hall). on your back doorstep, and the majestic theatres and lane-way nightclubs that Melbourne is renowned for on your Front Door Step.

AIRPORT: we are about a 20-25 min drive from the main International / Domestic Airport 'Tullamarine'

Make your transportation to / from the Melbourne Tullermarine International & Domestic Airports a breeze

You can transfer to the apartment from the airport by Taxi, Airport Shuttle Bus or Private Chauffeur Service [their charges apply].

TRAIN:
Main Train Station [Flinders St Train Station] is just a 2 min walk across the foot bridge to our apartments.
SOUTHERN CROSS Station: is about a 20 walk or 5 min taxi ride to our apartments or catch the train from Southern Cross to Flinders St Train Station and walk 2 mins across the foot bridge to the apartment. 

CAR: Very easy to find and detailed directions are provided on booking.

SHIP: Port Melbourne Station Pier - Ship passenger terminals is about a 10 min taxi or tram ride to the location of our apartments.

Everything is so close that you don't need a car, but if you want to explore outer Melbourne some do choose to hire a car to do a few day trips and visit Great Ocean Road, Phillip Island, Yarra Valley, Mornington Peninsula.
